Don’t we all love Flappers?

28 Aug

I just wrote a short piece about Flappers. I’ve always been inspired by the flapper fashion, but actually their lifestyle is very interesting as a part of womens liberation. I wrote a few words about it and saved it as a page! Hope you enjoy it!

Boots Boots Boots

Today I just got into a boot shopping frenzy, looking all over the web for great boots for the fall. And here are four boots that I particularly like; They all come from PrimeBoots (Decorated boots, Engineer boots, Kneeheigh boots, Nella Nubuck). I can’t really decide which ones I will buy, but I am kind of choosing between the engineer boots.

Have a nice week now! I’ll try and post as much as possible, but I have a lot going on at work right now.

Aqua Fashion

I was a little bit inspired of the post with the Mustard sweater, so I decided to do another color moodboard. The sleeveless top is designed by Townsen, the mini skirt by Boulee, and the necklase by Jennifer Zeuner.

A great blog that I visit whenever I need a little inspiration is Wendy’s Lookbook. She has a great sence for fashion, and she wears her outfits in a very positive manner. Above is a favorite post, where she’s wearing a sweater from J.Crew.

A little bit like Zooey Deschanel

I found this beautiful dress, and it reminds me a lot of Zooey Deschanel. The first time I saw her was when she was in the Movie Yes Man costarring Jim Carrey.

The tv show New Girl is a fantastic source of style influences, and her quirkiness always makes me happy. 🙂

Tory Printed Tunic

This is a cool item, a red printed tunic. I think it works very well with my sandals from last summer, perfect for a day in the park or at the beach.

Retro And 80s style!

22 Apr

This is a fantastic dress! It’s all new over at ModCloth and goes for only $42. I particularly like that it has a retro model but with 80s styled coloring.

I would guess that I would glow on the dance floor with it, and I kind of like that. 🙂

Graphic favorites

17 Apr

I found these two dresses which has a really graphical, printed look to them. Very beautiful and perfect for a summer party. Doesn’t they have an asian feel as well?

I find myself spending more and more time on Pinterest, it is so great! I’d love if you followed me on Pinterest as well, and I post most of my stuff on a board named beautiful.

Today I will spend a little bit of time knitting. I don’t know what I will do, but I have to practice a lot before I can create accessories that are usable in a real outfit. But I love the knitting, and my niece is very happy when I give her my practice pieces to play with. 🙂

The Dotted Dress

13 Apr

This is a truly fabulous outfit that I found over at Modcloth. I especially love the yellow, dotted dress. Its typical 60’s style with clean lines and bright colors and pattern makes it perfect for a sunny sunday afternoon in the city.

This sunday I’m actually going to central park for a little get together. Some of my friends from College is in town and I want to see them all. I love them and it’s going to be great fun!
